Fifteenth century Venice is the only open port where the masterless dregs of the vampire world can live without fear of attack for violating another’s territory. But there are plenty of other ways for a young vampire to die in the most glittering city of the age, as former prince and current pauper Mircea Basarab quickly learns. But there are opportunities, too—in the service of a secretive courtesan, in the bed of a beautiful senator, and in the hunt for an ancient assassin.
A vendetta older than Venice itself comes to a climax as Mircea struggles to evade the dangers of his current life, to come to terms with his past, and to uncover the truth hidden behind a city of masks.
I can’t seem to find “Masks” anywhere!
Has it been posted or am I just to dumb to find it?
There’s a bit of an issue with my publishing company, Linda. To make a long story short, I am contractually required to give them the Cassie Palmer novels that I write. I was under the impression that this wasn’t one, since Cassie isn’t in it and it doesn’t directly have anything to do with her main storyline. But it seems that Penguin may feel differently. We’re trying to work it out now. Hopefully they will let me know something soon, and as soon as they do, I’ll update everyone.
