Page Count Contest Winner!

Congrats to Melissa Dennis, who wins the RTW Length Contest by a very close guess of 578 pages and 175,000 words! The real totals were 548 and 173,206–my longest book to date! In the end, we cut about 6 chapters out of the book, because Penguin was tired of my shit, lol! Their max on mass market type books is supposed to be 120,000, so they stretched a point pretty darned thin for me (thanks Penguin!) But don’t worry, you’ll see those chapters again. In the meantime, I hope you will enjoy RTW, and thanks for playing!

P.S.: Melissa, please send your contact info (email is fine) to so I can get your prize out to you.

Page Count Contest

Okay, so I did this last time and people seemed to enjoy it, so let’s try again. I have a shiny new $25.00 Amazon or B&N gift card for anybody who can guess the total number of pages AND the word count of Reap the Wind. First one to get it right, wins. If nobody is exactly right, then Friday night I’ll pick whoever came the closest and announce it here. You can enter here on the blog, on Facebook, or send your guess to Oh, and in the event of a tie, the first one to send in the right answer takes it. Go!
